Grooved trigger to Smooth Trigger

So I have a 1974 lowback Security Six with a grooved trigger. My daughter is acquiring it and prefers the smooth trigger of my Police Service six. So I purchased a used blue trigger assembly on Ebay, 31 shipped. Gun broker had smooth triggers for 39 shipped.

Taking the gun apart was pretty straightforward. But despite compatibility of parts I could not get the new trigger assembly to snap in tight. Very slight variations in the front lip were obvious. So ultimately had to swap out the trigger...should have just ordered a trigger.

The trigger spring plunger is the hardest thing to get back together

But all is well now. And I guess I have some spare parts.

Very good project for a worthy cause; your daughter has good taste.

Back in the day ... when we wanted a smooth trigger ...

We got out the trusty Dremel Tool and made them dissappear... Wah Lah ,smooth as a baby's butt and no new parts or parts fitting required .

Why don't people do it the easy way ... Is removing the grooves too simple !
