I was thinking about getting a 9mm carbine but don't want to break the bank doing so. I have looked at the Beretta CX4 for around $600 and Hi Point 995 carbine for $250. I know that most will probably say there is no comparison between the two but I am only looking to have some fun. My biggest concern is that I am a lefty and do not wish to have brass fly in my face. Any opinions?

I owned the Hi point a few years ago and it shot fine biggest negative is the limited round capacity they should really make it a double stack and they would sell a lot more of them .. If I was in the market for another carbine in 9mm and could afford the Beretta that is what I would buy, plus you can use 92 mags .
