I'll be the first to admit I'm more of a revolver guy than a semi-auto guy so maybe this is just new to me and old news to most folks. In the box with my new LC9s there was pretty much everything I expected - the gun, 1 mag (2 would have been nice), a back zippered case and paperwork but there was also something I had never seen before. There was an orange dummy mag with the take down instructions printed on one side.

I understand what it's for and why and I suppose it's safer to dry fire with this dummy mag than a real one that could have a round in it. I had just never seen one before and was curious if it's something new or unique to the LC9s or what.
I'll probably get a "Man where have you been? They've been shipping 'em that way for years." But I figured I'd ask anyway.
