New guy to forum here. Looking for advice. First off, let me admit to being a dumb *** as this is no doubt my fault. Mayhaps someone can help. Was cleaning my LCP and decided it needed a drop of oil on the trigger. So dripped a drop and proceeded to work the trigger, and snap, down came the hammer. Huh, no biggy, gun didn't even have the slide on so no ammo no danger. Cool, but...whence reassembly came around I found that the slide would not retract fully, and that the hammer is stuck in the forward position. Now the old me would have gone for a hammer and screwdriver by now to force the thing back. But I am older and somewhat wiser so figured I would see what was on the Ruger forum.
