The sp101 I have now was difficult. I couldn’t get the trigger assembly lose and then the trigger could not cock fully during assembly. I was hoping to do light polishing and light oil. The trigger pull is heavy but not rough. Is it a problem if I’m not able to oil intervals? I had to send back to Ruger. I’m avoiding a second trip? Polishing might help. I’m not sure what to do.

I always though revolvers were easier, but my SP 101 has a huge problem. Cylinder won't turn at all, either when locked in or when released out for reloading. I suspect the spindle has too much carbon deposit and is jammed.
This first showed up as a heavy trigger pull, but that wasn't due to the trigger assembly. It's the cylinder not rotating.
