Like the title says, I'm hopeful someone has any experience with Longshot in the 45 acp using 200 grain cast and powdercoated semi-wadcutters, I have found data using jacketed hollow point in 200 grain but no load data for 200 swc's. I also read on an old post on this forum but one comment on the thread stated that Longshot isn't really meant to push cast lead, but the powdercoat jackets I apply after casting makes them, in a sense, jacketed bullets that don't require lube or anything. I am just looking for a starting load and what possible max load is and I'll work up from the starter.
I'm sure that someone has tried it, it just takes digging to find them. I had previously scoured the forums to find a load for my AR using lever-evo because it was all I had and managed to find the right people who compiled a cycling load during the last shortage. It turned out to be pretty accurate too it was just a bit more smokey than other powders I have now.
I have TiteWad, TiteGroup, CFE Pistol, and Accurate No.2. I picked up 2lbs of Longshot because it was cheap and avaliable at the time and I'm just now getting around to using it. My Speer loading manual doesn't list data for it and I'm finding little info in online searches, so any information will be greatly appreciated. This will be shot from my 1911 GI Model BTW if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance
