I'm hoping someone can point me to a mfgr. of left carry holsters for the P89. Specifically I'd like a level 2 (push button to release) it seems like a needle in a haystack to find one!

That is going to be an uphill battle trying to find one. On "older" (no longer in recent production) finding something other than the older style holsters with features like thumb break retention is going to be darn near impossible just because the market is no longer there. You can probably find a manufacturer to make a custom molded kydex-style holster with little trouble, but I doubt it will have the level 2 push button retention.
I went through something similar not too long ago when I was searching for a new holster for my Hi Power. I even looking for leather, but the choices on a long-discontinued gun was very very sparse. I ended up getting something close to what I was looking for and modified it.

Try this company...www.clevelandkydex.com...they make custom and I have one that was made for my Springfield sc.40 with a Crimson Trace # 206 laser...GREAT CS and no I was just a customer
North-Central Illinois Custom Kydex has the P89 listed in their drop down window on their website:

They have left and right, and a lot of options, and a little note that says they are mode to order.

There are holster molds (blue plastic 3d models) available for the P89, and several others in the P Series, for around $50. Kydex looks like it is vacuum formed. If you find a company willing to do custom work, but short a pattern to use, the cost of the holster mold and postage would solve that problem.
