I'm trying to replace the front blade sight on my Ruger Blackhawk. I would like to put a high visibility front sight on it, but I can't figure out how to remove the factory sight, is this even possible?
I have a similar gun, Blackhawk .357 Mag with the soldered on sight. Facing the same problem-I filed a v groove in the center of the top of the front site for a larger adhesion surface and then made a form using tape to build a dam around the sight with black epoxy. Then filed it flush with the side of factory sight. and l sighted it in filing the epoxy down so the point of impact is where I want it.
