Might have mentioned before, but I’m not sure Glock enthusiasts are the target market for the RXM?

I don’t (currently) own a Glock, but I when I found it was G19 sized, had Magpul polymer, used PMAGs, had steel sights, a chassis system, no hump, accommodated my preferred optic footprint (RMSc), tapped into the G3 aftermarket, and made in the USA…for $399?

I could not buy one fast enough.

I wouldn't be surprised that Glock changes nothing unless they were to start losing LE supply contracts to Ruger. Look at Sig P320 history. Military bought into it and dumped Beretta while LE stuck with Glock.

RXM will likely become a defacto alternative civilian Glock clone and nothing more. I can't see Glock changing a thing unless they start losing contract orders. Name a department in history that went to Ruger revolvers over S&W and I'll name 50 that didn’t.
C'mon, 50 maybe a strech..... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Your points valid, but I have high hopes!

Okay... NYPD issued Ruger Security Sixes and a few other departments followed suit. I should have qualified it by saying name one respectable police agency as a challenge. LOL! :ROFLMAO:

Glock sells a ton of guns outside of agency sales.

I can also see why an agency would find modularity an attractive option when employing a variety of officers from smaller women's hands to larger men's hands, particularly at large agencies.

Revolver vs revolver argument seems flawed since there is little practical difference between the two. There's a significant difference between a revolver and an autoloader, and an autoloader vs modular autoloader would bring another practical difference as described above.

It will be interesting to see how things play out in the future.

I think it would be great if Ruger started getting some agency sales. As long as they keep giving us mortals pieces.

I just went out and ran about 100 rounds through my Christmas present RXM. Ran great with no issues. Grouped incredible we’ll. Shoots like a Glock but with a better trigger. Only two issues: the Magpul mags seemed loose inside the mag well, my Glock mags seemed to fit better. And secondly it shot a bit low. I will be putting an optic on it so that won’t be an issue but it was consistently grouping low with factory sights.

Just curious, were you using a top of front sight hold or a center dot hold?

That taller than standard front sight (likely designed for co-witness) is possibly the reason for low grouping. My Sig Romeo Zero Elites have always co-witnessed nicely with my Caniks. Will see how they work with the RXM soon.

And that is exactly why is is shooting low
So you are saying that the proper sight alignment is to cover the intended point of impact with the front sight. I'm not convinced the 3 dots are factory set as POI verses 6 o'clock hold, but if they are, then that sucks. I never cover my intended point of impact with the sights on any of my guns that have 3 dot sights and have had no issues with low shots that I could attribute to the sights. My SR1911 has 3 dot and shoots dead on with the bull cut in half at the top of the front sight. Another test, I'm looking forward to with the RXM I have on layaway coming home tomorrow.

Yes, basically. Sight image 3, per the frequently shown diagram.

Just as a note, the rear sight is a plain black notch on the RXM. No rear dots.

I call that a combat hold. Like my beloved m9/92fs. Hard habit to break
Yes, sorry, should have said combat hold. I tend to call it a dot hold since I alternate irons guns and dot guns, hence ‘dot’.

I have the opposite problem than some folks, as I had to swap to a shorter front sight on my 1911 (was a 6 o clock) to get a combat hold.

I snagged one from Rural King Guns.
i picked it up Monday.
Additional 15 or 17 round mags are $14.95 at shopruger.com.
Can’t beat that with a stick.
After owning Glocks since '89, I just made the break with an RXM 2 days ago...first new gun purchase in 20 yrs!
Still breaking it in, not that an actual break-in, in the traditional sense is needed, but since it will be EDC I need to establish my confidence with it.
I especially like the taller sights with my old eyes. Minor front sight issue I hope to fix, but otherwise I'm really pleased with it

Quite a bit of Magpul below... though missing an RXM. I'll have to remedy that!

While I do like a lot of the Magpul offerings, I always thought the Ruger American Magpul stocks looked a bit out of place. Almost grabbed one for the cheek weld alone, but decided the Gen I stock was more handy and didn't require removing the cheek rest to remove the bolt. It was also cheaper to modify the existing magwell for AICS mags through Ruger's OEM kit.
