Eagle makes a nice wood grip for the GP100/SRH that's styled after the classic S&W target stocks. Another off-the-shelf option if you like wood but don't like finger grooves.

I too find the Left's comfortable.

Wow Mr. Waveform, those are mighty fine looking grips! I think I will get some of those from eagle when I have some extra money to spend and don't have to stick to more "budget" options.

Just. wow. What a beautiful GP. Is that custom work? The grips look perfect. I also dislike finger grooves, especially with wood. My mitts are large...

i think i have some sort of world record for the number of grips i have for my GP100's

last i remember it was like 12 sets of grips - currently i favor some of these

I wish ruger would go back to putting the letts as stock grips on new gp100 instead of the huge, clunky finger groove hogue mine came with. Now, I have to spend another 50 bucks to add them to the gun. The hogue must be cheaper for them to buy or something. Anyways, my plan is to get the altamont checkered lett style grips in a month or two, once I get soke Christmas stuff paid off my credit card I ordered a pair of no finger groove hogues to put on my gp100 in the meantime, since i could get those for 21.50 on amazon w/free shipping.

They are putting the Lett style on the 7 shot GP’S.

i think posting that picture of your GP is really unfair - i can honestly say that i've NEVER seen another GP that looked that good - makes every GP i have look cheap :D

those are really nice grips too, they compliment the superior work of the revolver

i did a little with my Hawkeye Blue Ruger 3" - changed out my trigger, hammer, crane latch, and the hammer pivot to stainless - doesn't hold a candle to the kind of work you've done with your's though

I switched from the Hogue monogrip to the Letts style with Chigs smooth walnut inserts and Altamont checkered Rosewood. I get a little better grip with the checkered Altamonts. The rubber absorbs recoil well and the wood inserts improve the looks of the grips.

The soft squishy Hogue rubber grip is awesome. The hard plastic Hogue grip is 'meh'. The match champion and the black rubber + wood grips were somewhere in between.

Details details.
Its a common problem that the 7-shot 357 mag gp-100 can't fit the ammo in. Ruger put the chambers too close together and the rims of the rounds bind together. Ruger is replacing or refunding the guns if you complain to them. They have me a 6-shot match champion to replace my 7 shot dud.

I just got Ruger’s “compact” GP100 grip for my 3”, and they not only look fantastic, they handle .357 better than I expexted.

I had those, old original ones, on a fixed-sight GP. I liked them.

My current, adj. sight GP, has Pachmayr Grippers. Fit the frame well and fit my hand. Weatherproof, and I think they reduce recoil.

I use Pachmayr Presentation and Presentation Compac on a couple of S&W revolvers. But I like the Grippers better on the four-inch stainless GP-100.
