Ok...I need opinions. I have a Redhawk .44 just like in the pic. No matter how hard I try, I just can't get myself to like the factory wood grips.

I slapped a pair of Hogue's on it...better...but if they were 1 millimeter larger in diameter they'd be too big. Actually, they seem too long and not quite wide enough. Very odd feel.

Pachmayr's...forget it! Tried then too. They felt hollow, like something was missing. The gun "swims" in them.

I have fairly big hands, but I'm still not happy with the grips. What have you guys found out there that you like?

Pachmayr Presentation Grips on my 7.5" SS .44 Mag...not the prettiest but they do work for me. But I do like the way the wood looks on them. (Those Eagle grips look interesting!)

Hawkeye, I can shoot full house 240 gr loads all day long with the pachmayr grips. And I've got small hands I've got houge grips on my Redhawk SS 7 1/2 .41 mag and I don't like them either.

I removed the Hogues from my new 4" Redhawk 45 Colt and installed the Pachmayr decelerator grips. Felt too long to me, made me spread my fingers too far apart to fill the finger grooves. I put the Hogues back on and even though the backstrap is exposed and not rubber covered as the Pachmayr's were, it's width helps distribute the recoil very well. I ONLY shoot magnum loads through it and the Hogue monogrip works for me. Now what a bit*** to get on and off though. They will sure never slide off of there on their own. :)
