Can’t trust my LCP Max anymore for EDC

After sending my Max back to Ruger twice for repair of a faulty trigger I have decided to find a new EDC. Ruger’s customer service has been second to none. My Max now functions perfectly after the second trip to get repaired, unfortunately I no longer trust that if I need to defend myself or my family the Max will function as needed.

I have purchased a Sig Sauer P365 380. It’s a little bigger and heavier than the Max. I have only fired about 100 rounds so far and have found it to be a very nice shooting pistol. Less snappy than the Max and much more enjoyable to shoot.

It is a little disappointing to feel that I needed to find a replacement because I really like what the Max offers.

I have the P365 in 9mm and it’s a great little gun … several orders of magnitude better than the LC9s pro it replaced. The replacement for my original LCP is the Taurus G3C which has also proven to be a better gun than what Ruger’s currently making with respect to autopistols.

I also purchased a Taurus G3C recently. So far no problems what so ever. Very nice gun for the money. Three 12 round mags, extremely accurate, and a $25 rebate to boot. It has replaced my Kahr CM9 which was a tad to small for my hands.

Yep. After a couple trips back to Ruger for my previous .380 LCP II, I took it to the range and shot 300 rds without a malfunction. I figured I was good to go. Next time at the range it had a fail to extract at round 58 then frequently after that. So I require my EDC pistol go 500 rounds without a malfunction and not be a Ruger before I trust it.

Yes I do. However both times I had issues with the trigger it would function normally for many rounds, then It just stopped firing. Perfect….. then nothing. I can’t take the chance of pulling the trigger and it fails to fire.
