My .22lr LCP2 has become my most carried and most fired pistol in my collection. It’s been my pocket EDC since they were first released. I’ve put over 25k rounds through it over the past couple of years. I’ve been carrying it loose in my pocket the entire time with the crimson trace Lightguard. I primarily bought the light to shoot snakes and rodents while out on my buddies property and hunting, but decided to leave it on since it’s actually bright enough to use indoors and at close range outdoors.

i also use the tandemkross wingman+4 mag extensions on backup mags. I have about 1500 rounds each through them and have had zero issues. They are kind of a game changer for this little gun. A couple pairs of pants I wear can fit the gun with the extended mag.

It tends to become my primary carry when wearing basketball shorts or sweatpants, or when deep concealment is necessary. I’ve begun thinking about trying a Clipdraw for it when I’m wearing light clothing but would like to hear some pros/cons and personal reviews. My biggest worry about it is comfort while shooting. I have big hands and use a high grip and worry it’s going to interfere or make a hot spot on my palm when shooting.

Im also interested to know if anybody else has the same light on an LCP2. I found a rechargeable CR1/3n battery kit on Amazon that I’m going to try out since I run train on batteries lol. Might save me some headache.

Here’s my beloved mousegun.

I thought about a clip draw several years back and then it dawned on me... it is a really really bad idea to IWB without a holster because a simple ravel in your undies or another garment could find its way around the exposed trigger and cause a problem drawing or maybe cause an unintentional discharge into your undies of the of the most violent variety. Bad idea. I have been known to shove a 1911 into my back hip area with handle forward cocked and locked in a response to a possible intruder or someone at the door late at night. But those are few and far between occurrences that that might happen.

Also, if you carry appendix like I do, your body and salty perspiration will be all over that gun.... trust me on that and a new Cerakote finish will be waiting just around the corner.

Opinions based on experience + logic is still just an opinion.

Watch this video and then if you like the clip-draw, please re-assert how carrying without a holster is a good idea. I think this guy may even have had a holster on.

My smalled appendix carry rides in a suede material holster not kydex and has a safety. It is a striker fired + double action restrike trigger on a Taurus Slim. I use the safety for a reason..... I like my family jewels apparently way more then the guy in the video likes his!. LOL!!!!

Israeli carry is for Israelis. Mexican Carry is for Mexicans. Murican carry is for Muricans!

You think you can draw and rack a slide and get into action when the real threat is in progress? I think these professionals would disagree.

I think the professionals would advise running first, because the bad guys are untrained, so they're only accurate at point-blank range. If you draw from the drop, then you're going to take several rounds at point-blank range, which would have been avoided if you first evaded.

A quick draw is a skill that will never be needed by someone who has situational awareness. But you still need to carry, because sometimes the bad guys pursue.

Agreed! Holsters have come a long way with the introduction of kydex. Absolutely no reason to risk it with an unprotected trigger. If you have a safety, that is about as far as you need to go and training to take the safety off if you use it, is much better than risking a malfunction racking the first round into the chamber. OMG!!! Has anyone experienced a round jam when racking a hollow point or even a fmj into a semi auto firearm...I have and it was with my SR1911, My Colt Officers Lightweight, and Para Ordnance P12-45 at one time or another. I have shot 1000s of rounds out of 45s and there is always the chance of something going wrong. It does happen, so Israeli carry is one more step that could produce failure and is out of the question for me. That first round out the barrel is the most critical one... why risk it?

I have carried an original LCP with a techna clip pocket clip daily for 7-8 years or so now. I like it very much, like you i had a laser so the factory pocket holster didn’t work. I love it, if i am in a place i don’t want to open Carry I just drop it in my pocket. No one is the wiser, the rest of the time no matter what i am wearing it has a pocket.
