Has anyone found an exceptionally good holster for this pistol for concealed carry?
I'd love to find one that has a place for the extra magazine.

Are you looking for IWB, OWB, shoulder, etc?
I don't have an American, I carry an SP101 or SR1911 CMD (not the lightweight model), for both I use an Aliengear IWB and really like it. No room for a spare mag though. It's very comfortable with both for walking around, the SR1911 is a little uncomfortable driving though, so I carry the SP101 on long trips.

I use a model from the Holster Store. Pro Carry LT Leather Gun Holster. I have this holster for a number of guns and it works quite well for me. Another brand that I use is Clinger. Very satisfied with all that I have.
