How much were they asking for the Mini-14 Tactical?

 

That may influence how long it spends on the wall. Seen some vastly overpriced semi-autos this year. (A Kel-Tec 9mm carbine is not a $2k gun)

 

Picked up a Tactical (582 series) new in box at local gun store for 725$ out the door...he had 4 in stock, expecting 3 more by next week. local academy and Gander mountain have been getting them in (mostly wood stocks) regular since about mid april. Ammo easing up too, mostly online stores though, been able to order about 3k rounds of 22lr, closer to 3k rounds of 223 for pre shooting prices...

 

There's been a really nice looking mini-14 at my local gun shop selling for a decent price. It's been sitting there for probably 3 weeks. It's a very busy shop on the weekends and they get a good deal of business. I'm thinking everybody is just turned off by not being able to find .223 ammo, and then when they do it's priced at over $1 a round.

Nope. I already have a Mini 14 as well. The same patrol 5819 model. It is a sweet gun.

I brought it up though as it is the first Mini 14 I've seen since before Christmas.

 

I've seen them in a few stores lately. Today I saw a used one at a Cabela's, but two things struck me as odd since it was a pre-58 model. First, they simply listed it as a "Ranch Rifle" on the tag (no Mini 14 mention). Second, they wanted $799 for it, which is overpriced even in the current market.

 

Anyone Looking for a Mini, pass these guys along: WHITTAKER GUNS, I stumbled on them via facebook they are in Kentucky but ship Rifles and pistols to any FFL and their prices are Awesome! I found out about them in January and I've yet to see a week go by they didn't have several Hundred AR's or other popular black guns in stock! they are Legit! I bought a DPMS Panther AR from in Feb. for 789.00 shipping was around 25$... They Currently have these model minis IN STOCK as of Today at closing time... BTW I think I did pretty good for my New Mini tactical for 725$
