GP100 - Laser Sight Alternatives to Crimson Trace

Does anyone know of any laser sights for the GP100 that do not need to be mounted to the top (and won't prevent use of the iron sights)? I know there are Crimson Trace laser grips, but I'm not sure I'm game to drop a couple hundred on one of those at this point, as great as they sound.

Pistols seem to have an endless variety of under-barrel-mounted lasers, but they seem harder to come by for larger revolvers like the GP100. Thought someone might have some clever solves or suggestions here.

Norseman , I felt exactly how you do for a few years , but I finally just went ahead and ordered the Crimson Trace grips . I put on the Crimson style of grips that let me install my wood panels back on , ( like the original gp100's had ) , not the big finger groove hogues .
Then installed a set of adjustable fiber optic sights . I love this gp100 . Never regret spending the money.

Thanks for the welcome!

Ugly as they are, I'm quite fond of the rubber Hogue grips that mine came with. Just feels solid in my hands and I seem to be more accurate than I deserve with them. Didn't want to mess with any of that for a laser sight.

So in your experience, am I essentially SOL on this?

Heck yeah! That looks perfect. What a great find. Thanks for sending. Been searching for many hours and couldn't find anything like this.

Do you have one yourself, Heartbreaker?

I'm curious how the 3M VHB tap handles under recoil. Even if it doesn't come off, I'm wondering if there's any drift over time, which wouldn't be helpful for a laser sight.

It's the nice thing about ideas and information. Nobody knows everything but everyone knows something.

"If I have a dollar and you have a dollar and we trade dollars, we still only have one dollar each. But if I have an idea and you have an idea and we trade ideas, we each have two ideas."
