Just bought my first gp100. Should have in a few days (gun broker). Can anyone tell me what the C means in the model KGP141-C? I've looked online but have come up empty.

I thought it was Canada too, but I see a # KGPF331-C is a 3", fixed sight, stainless model. I've also seen SP101 snubs with the -C. I thought Canada required a barrel longer than 4".
Interesting. My first thought when I noticed it was California but after looking at the CA doj list, I don't see it. What requirements might Canada have on revolvers other than maybe barrel length?
I think that's right, Canada requires a 105mm barrel which comes out to 4.13".
Ruger made 4.2" barrels for the GP-100 specifically to make it eligible for Canadian sales.
By the way, the "K" denotes stainless steel, the "4" in 141 denotes a 4" barrel; so the "C" suffix likely is the Canadian 4.2" barrel.
So it's Canada. Better than CA (I think). Anyway, what's a tenth of an inch between neighbors. Thanks for the clarification everyone. Can't wait to make some 357 noise.
All Model 1705 GP100s are 4.2". There is no 4" version so the C meaning Canada doesn't fly. As has already been mentioned there is a 3" SP101 that has a catalog number ending in C and of course a 3" barreled revolver is a no-no in Canada. I don't buy the C = Canada hypothesis.
If it's important why not call Ruger CS and ask? They just might know....
All current GP-100's with 4" barrels are actually 4.2" but I'm not sure that has always been the case. However, I'm just guessing about the "C" suffix so my guess about Canada is just that, A guess.
I recall while researching reading in a review about the GP100 series that Ruger went with the 4.2" barrel because that was the maximum allowable for IDPA revolver and fits withing the box confines and regulations for IPSC as well.

Back in the day, we believe it stood for the plastic case when we switched from cardboard boxes. Thank you for your email.
LOL. Who would of thought.
