Marlin or Henry

I was at the candy store last week (LGS) and really don't need a gun right now. However, I was interested in a lever action in .357. I have a single shot Henry in .357 and it shoots well. On the rack was a used Marlin at $700+. The new one was $900+. The used one does look like the new models and showed little use. The new Henry in .357 was also in the $700+ range. I was leaning toward the used Marlin. I have three Henry levers and satisfied with fit finish and accuracy. What say you fellow members. Are there benefits or advantages to one versus the other?

My vote is Marlin, new or used, take the Henry apart and then the Marlin and compare them side by side. Marlin (Ruger) is and was a lot of gun.
The Henry has been a good economical alternative, and I have a few of them also.
Marlin just feels different.
Thanks. I should have updated my post some time ago. I did end up buying the new Marlin. In part because the used Marlin and new Henry were gone when I went back. A new Marlin was still available and came home with me. I have to admit not shooting it until yesterday. Very impressed with performance with my two hand loads. I have to agree the Marlin was the best choice. Easier to at least remove the bolt for a quick clean. Looking forward to taking it out again soon.
