Hi all,

I just purchased a 22/45 and was interested in what modifications that you all recommend. I just ordered a threaded Pac-lite barrel and and interested in changing the grips. What are my options for grips? Will any 1911 grips fit it?
Also, what other MODS do you guys recommend, trigger, etc.? I am 4 and a half months in on my wait for my suppressor.
Thanks

A lot of grip choices in both the 22/45 configuration and for 1911 with a little modification.
Install a hammer bushing to allow for easier reassembly after take down and to allow your mags to drop freely. There are a couple manufacturers for the hammer bushing, all get good reviews. I personally purchased and installed a TandemKross hammer bushing. Their magazine bumpers are an excellent upgrade as well. And ammo!

Hi Pasemkr, welcome to the forum.

There are many grip options made specifically for the 22/45, as well as a an infinite number of 1911 grips that can easily be made to fit.

I personally went with a Pearce rubber grip insert with finger grooves and a set of cocobolo target grips. I would also suggest a hammer bushing (as was already mentioned), the "slingshot mod", and perhaps a Volquartsen trigger. You may also want to remove the LCI.

Have fun, stay safe.

I've got Pachmayr American legends on my Mk III 22/45, and I have the TandemKross Hammer bushing and LCI filler as well as their magazine bumpers. I also bored out the holes in the rubber portion of the grips and added my own Umbrella Corporation logo medallions. I also have an HTA Kestrel .22, makes for a very nice shooting experience.
