A lightweight hook, not a ring, perfect for my wants n needs. Left or right reversible - $30 or less?

 

I wonder, why are these bolt rackers the most popular accessory out there? So many colors, styles, sizes to choose from. I only have to rack my bolt once every ten rounds, and it’s not like racking the slide on a compact 9mm or anything. What advantage am I missing out on here?

With the arthritis in her left hand, I think one of these is eventually in my wife's future. She's right handed but has to hold the gun with her left, pull with her right, then switch hands and continue. A handle might alleviate that.

 

Ruger has a charging ring with the Ruger logo that looks good along with making it easier to pull the bolt back.

 

I had a Tandemkross racker on my MkIV. One of the best accessories I purchased for the gun. Not only makes the bolt easier to grab, it completely avoids any pinching hazards.

 

Evening, as silly as these charging rings look (at least to me) I think my fingers would be grateful if I picked one up. Of the different ring manufacturers, is the Tandemkross Halo the way to go, or are there others equally as good at a better price.

I like the small bolt on extensions that Brownells sell. Less than $10 right now and look like they grew there. Sorry don't know how to post picture but just go to their bolt or slide accessories.

I have purchased 3 charge rings from fingerloopsystems.com for my MK IV pistols. These are one of the best inprovements I have added to my pistols. Cost of the charge rings from finger loop are about half the cost of others.

 

That is interesting. The website says they fit the Lite, Tactical and 22/45 only. Do you know if they'll fit the Mark IV Standard as well? I don't have any of the other Mark IVs so I don't know if there's any difference in the bolt (I'd be somewhat surprised if so).

IMHO the rings are just ackward to use compared to the rackers. You want to pull the bolt back and then let it slingshot shut. Much easier to do with a racker than with your finger stuck thru a ring.

 

I really like my TK charging handle. It’s just convenient and quick fast. It took some searching but I found a charging handle for my MkII 22/45 also.

 

After my granddaughter had an ouchie from not letting go of the bolt ears, we (I) bought the Halos for all three Marks. Easy to get used to for sure. I saw a racker that simply extended the ears on the bolt. I thought about one of those but, ended up with the Halos. Halos were expensive but I like them a lot. Good luck with whatever you choose.

 

I like Tandemkross but I needed one for a MK II but they stopped carrying them. I emailed them and they simply said they had no plans to restock so I searched for options and found Finger loop systems. I like their version just as well.

 

It may not be as fitted and polished as the Tandemcross might be, I don't know but I like the cost of the finger loop at half the price. Still not convinced I need one or it will make things easier for me. I seem to be doing okay as is -- in the stock condition.

 

I don't see anything that's not made by another manufacturer. Maybe you should post a link to the page.
