I just bought and installed the Majestic Arm 3.2 speed strip conversion kit on my MH III 22/45. It allows you to field strip the bolt with out taking the whole weapon apart. It took me around an hour to do it but it is worth the effort. It comes with a new hammer and bushing. It allows you to safely omit the magazine disconnect feature which also when you release the mag it falls out like a 1911 mag. There is a better discription on the web site and they show a video on how it works.

PS: I am sharing this and I am NOT getting paid by Majestic ArmsSpeed Strip Kit

If it works for you, great.
I see it as a solution to a non existant problem.
I have two MKIII 22/45's and haven't had a problem with disassembly.
Just tear them down and clean them.

Yes it does work, but what I wanted mostly was I wanted the quick mag drop removal, reduction in pre travel. To each his own, you see it as a solution to a non existant problem. I see it as a solution for me and maybe others.

My MKIII is very easy to take apart, even the very first time. The only part I can't use my hands for is tapping the bolt stop pin in the last 1/4 inch. Eveything else comes apart by hand.

Glad this works for you. This one clearly does more than make it quick to take apart and adds trigger value.

I'll probably upgrade my trigger at somepoint when funds allow.

its a neat idea and i will admit that the first couple of times i stripped my 22/45 it was a bear to reassemble, but now i can do it with my eyes closed

Stripping the gun down has never been a problem and I to can do it with my eyes closed also, stripping the bolt was just one of the features of this kit. It was the other features that I liked which was why I installed it, like safely omitting the the magazine disconnect, I really like the smooth magazine drop out feature, reduction in pre travel and last but not least it comes with IMHO a much better hammer.

After watching the video, I am seriously looking into this. I sometimes forget to put the mag in and/or pull it out.

Tymtravler, thanks for the info.

Tymtravler, I just converted my Mark III with the Majestic Arms 3.2 kit and that's how I found my way to this forum. Bought the gun in 2011, first time reassembly was an absolute nightmare! Gun jammed and had to go back to Ruger which they took care of at no charge. Ruger must get 50 a year. I swore never again. After having the gun apart for the conversion, I now see where I went wrong with the reassembly. Even so, should have done this 10 years ago! Bolt comes out and reinstalled in seconds. For me, only way to go. Dino Longuiera (RIP) you live on in my Mark III.
