I actually think this is pretty cool. Replaces the factory iron sights with a full length pic rail. From the photos it it looks like it sets level with the pic rail on the receiver too which would make adding AR style BUIS and co-witness with a red dot much easier.

That is pretty interesting. Gonna bookmark it and think on it some.

Some pro's I see:
1) Co-witness RDS with a better grade of flip up iron sights. No Loss of zero.
2) Will act as a heat sink for the barrel to help dissipate heat.
3) Cost Savings for Original Model owners vs. a Full Cage hand guard.
4) Don't have to worry about after market hand guard misalignment.
5) Will only add 2oz to weight.

Con's :
1) Not as versatile as a full M Lok cage for mounting accessories.
2) Not as aesthetically pleasing to the eye as a full cage or original configuration.
3) Won't allow for a "C" clamp grip.
4) Will add 2oz. of weight to the front of the rifle.

Awesome find! This definitely catches the eye compared to the ugly iron sights of the original PCC. im thinking scout scope for mine! Vortex offers one in their Crossfire lineup, & they're only $150!!!

...and if Magpul ever gets on the ball and releases the Backpacker stock it should still fit without any issues.
