I just picked up a Ruger LCP 380. I have never had one and never shot one. I am impressed.
After carrying it for a week and shooting our qualification for off duty weapons. I can say it's a pleasure to carry and shoot.
I thought the recoil would be a little stout, but it wasn't bad at all. From the 10 yard line all shots were in the vital organ area.
I picked up an extra magazine and carry it in my other pants pocket.
One thing I have found out the inside the pants holsters tend to want to come out with the pistol. I tried several and they all tended to do it. So I don't know if I will use them.
I find it shoots a good six o'clock hold.
This is the older model made in 2013. The trigger is very smooth if you ask me and the break was very good.
I would highly suggest this as a backup gun or just everyday carry. It really fits in your pocket well. It would do equally well in a small IWB holster. I do suggest putting on the small extra extension that comes with the magazine.
I am a 22 year LEO veteran, POST certified and Navy firearms instructor if it helps to lend credence to my post.
