Speedloader Doesn't Work In My GP100

Recently I was wandering aimlessly (pun intended) through a LGS when I ran across some speedloaders. I've only been interested in revolvers for about three years but I figured what the heck, I'll get a couple. The ones I bought are specifically for GP100's. There is a disclaimer on the package saying that oversized grips may interfere with their use. I assumed that meant oversized finger grooved wood custom grips. I didn't think it applied to the rubber Hogues that came stock on the gun. Wrong. They work but it's a hassle and there's nothing speedy about it. Oh well. There's $15 down the drain. Not the end of the world but it is disappointing.

I have the original Hogue grips on my GP100 and the HKS works great.
I had to go to 5 Star speed loaders for my LCRs.
HKS may have them for the LCR now

They are like any tool for rapid reloading of a revolver. They take practice to get really good with them. Same goes for speed strips. No speed loader exactly has a lot of room between the inside edge of the cylinder and the outside edge if the frame, regardless of the grips on the gun.

The HKS doesn't hold the rounds real tight so sometimes you just have to wiggle'em a little. The more you practice the easier it gets..
