Upgrade AR-556 Model 8542 to Larger Ammo Size Rifle

I own the Model 8542 and love firing it. I would like to also obtain a similar rifle that is 30+ cal for boar or larger hunting.

I have looked on the Ruger site and perused the SFAR 7.62 models.

Any recommendations for one of these that would be close to what I am used to with the 8542?
Or other autoloading rifle recommendation?

The SFAR is available with a 16in barrel so it would be close to what you're used to. It will have a bit more kick though. Another option would be to purchase a 300 Blackout upper for your MPR's lower. Uses same magazines as 223/5.56 and you keep your trigger, grip and stock. That would definitely be the cheaper option.

Or go all in and get a 450 Bushmaster upper!!!
