I finally put a scope on my 10/22 TD. I chose a Vortex Optics Crossfire II 2-7x32 Rimfire. Seems great so far. I got a chance to zero it at the range this morning. Thanks to @lowegan & @Corndog for their suggestions.

funny, I'm actually thinking about using this very scope on my 10/22 TD. not sure if I should go with the rimfire version or the regular Crossfire 2-7x32. not exactly sure what the difference is between them.

good looking rifle by the way!
what height rings did you go with?
I went with the medium height Vortex Optics Hunter Riflescope rings. I didn't want any interference with the fiber optic sights or when assembling/disassembling the TD.

jbw252, You made an excellent choice. 2~7X will cover a 22 LR's effective range nicely and Vortex provides excellent optics quality.

5timpy, The primary difference between a good quality centerfire scope and a good quality rimfire scope (ie Vortex) is .... factory adjusted parallax correction is set for 50 yards for a rimfire or 100 yards for a centerfire. Many people think a rimfire scope is made cheaper or is not as rugged as a centerfire. This may be true with cheap Chinese scopes but not with higher quality Vortex products. Parallax is more critical at higher magnification so at the low end (2X), parallax correction extends to about 20 yards. If you use a variable power scope the way it was designed to be used for a 22 LR, you want to set the zoom ring for a 10-yard naked eye view no matter what the actual shooting distance is. 2X @ 20 yards, 4X @ 40 yards, 7X @ 70 yards, etc. If you use this concept, your target will appear to be the same size at all distances, plus it will be in focus from 20 to 70 yards. This helps take the guess works out of shooting at different distances. FWIW, a typical 22 LR will shoot within a couple bullet diameters from about 8 yards out to 80 yards before it starts dropping.

Here's my TD. I went with medium rings and just barely have enough clearance between the rear sight and 4X scope tube (32mm) when rotating the barrel for removal.
