I am looking for a good grease for the rails on my autos, I have yet to find anything in my local shops that Im willing to try. Tetra gun grease looks like a good choice, picked up hoppes gun grease last night and was reading the package and it stated it was only designed to be used for long storage of firearms to prevent rust. What about a high temp ball bearing grease?

Iowegan's advice

I am following Iowegan's advice on oil and grease for pistols. I figure that a retired gunsmith may have some good pearls of wisdom. ;)

WeaponShield is my CLP of choice.

YMMV,
