No stripes? Maybe after it's grilled....

I heard you can tell male and female zebras from their stripes. Male zebras are black with white stripes and female zebras are white with black stripes.

 

Probably like horse meat. When I was a kid in Washington state, there were a lot of horse meat markets. A lot of folks ate it back then.

You start getting stripes...............zebra can't change the color of it's stripes!

 

I think I've found something to do when I retire, raise Zebras for meat. I wounder if that would be cool with the FDA?

You might look into the hand wringing going on over horse meat first.
Don't mean to burst your bubble but I'd bet some group or another would raise a stink.

Hadn't heard of a market for zebra meat. It would be pretty lean I would imagine.

Andrew Zimmern, the guy who eats strange things, did a show once on the tasty attributes of donkey meat...made me so hungry I wanted to try it. I would imagine that zebra isn't far off the mark of what donkey is. Lions like it and I'm sure anyone who is a meat eater could appreciate it. I really want to gnaw on a donkey.

 

Now, that's interesting but looks pricey.

 

Can't imagine it would be bad, especially if it is prepared properly.

If I'm hungry I'll eat it, don't care what someone would say... unless they are cooking something else that's good to eat.

 

It would be like eating Trigger.

 

Or even Silver from the Lone Ranger or even Mr Ed

 

talked to several people that have eaten Zebra and they swear that the taste alone is why you should take one (or two)

I suppose that there are some folks who would eat almost anything. The culture of a person's native land will dictate his acceptable diet, or if one is starving, they will take what ever they can get to stay alive. Zebra is something that I might eat but not something that I would seek out. I guess that I am more the Kobe filet mignon typeLOL.
