I have both of those scopes, and am a fan of Vortex and Leupold but of those 2, the VX-Freedom is a far, far better scope. Much brighter, lighter, and a smoother magnification dial, as well as more precise clicks. Both work, but the Leupold makes you glad you spent a bit more.

For now, I only own 1 Vortex, That sits atop of my Browning 7mm mag. I really like them too.

I just pulled my 10-22 out of it's case to remind myself the exact scope I have on it. Inexpensive (cheap) Simmons 3-9x32. It's been fine for plinking, not as bad as some might think. Sure isn't a great scope, but works for how i've been using it. Someday I may just upgrade it.
