My new Burris Fastfire C arrived today. I must say I am 100% happy and impressed. Some specs. It fits an RMSc cut, it has a 6MOA dot that is very easy for me to see without my glasses. Glass-reinforced polymer body, the same as the gun's frame keeps the weight to 0.44oz. Super clear coated glass lens. 5 brightness settings plus an auto mode that actually works well and is controlled from a single button on the left side. It has 80 MOA of elevation and windage adjustment plus a 1° shim (60 MOA) if needed. It comes with a weather seal and runs on a single bottom load CR2032 that is rated for 25,000 hrs of life on medium. it has a textured hood over the top of the glass to protect the glass and aid in manipulation off the front of the optic. It also comes with a removable rear sight for those guns that lose the rear sight with the optics plate.
When I bought my Shield Plus I bought a Holosun EPS Carry to go with it and could not get it to zero at all. I would run out of elevation adjustment. This is because S&W cuts a slope into their optic cut, making it difficult to zero some optics.
Out of the box, the Fastfire C was close but needed a little elevation to get the dot to sit right on top of the front sight. It will most likely require some fine-tuning at the range but should be very close. Surprisingly I did not need to use the shim. I tried it with just the sight and weather seal and I should be good to go. So far I would recommend it. I will let you all know if I see any issues or something I don't like.
