Do you know if it's legal to resell ammunition to a private party in another state?

My advice would be NO, NO or Heck NO on the ammo. Factory sealed cartons would be the only way I might think about it. Home brewed ammo and I'm back to the NO, NO, and heck NO department. It's just a lawsuit waiting to happen. Smithy.

With your living in Kalifornia, I wouldn't recommended it. It's barely legal for you to even possess ammunition.

You should do a search of ammunition sales laws for your state, the state you would be sending it to. As well as transportation laws for ammunition. Also you should check federal laws regarding sale and transfer of ammunition.

Have you been to a plain old auction and seen ammo sold?

I've seen it a lot. Nobody checks to see what state the buyers are from.

Laws will undoubtedly vary by state.

It's factory sealed cases of Winchester 22LR that my SIG doesn't like. I have a couple of thousand rounds that I'd like for someone to be able to use.

I do not know the legality of selling from the state of California and would recommend you contact an attorney and am closing the thread.
